  • False Appearance. While the verdant ancient remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary tree.


    Mulitattack. The verdant ancient makes two slam attacks.

    Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 21 (3d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

    Constrictor Vines. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (DC 16). Until this grapple ends, the creature is restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects originating from outside the verdant ancient, it takes 10 (1d10 + 5) poison damage at the start of each of the verdant ancient’s turns, and the verdant ancient can’t constrict another target.

Verdant ancients are enormous treelike plant creatures covered in flowering vines brought into being by powerful druids. They defend important ley lines, ancient forests, and other places of primal power.
