The target makes a Constitution check, as pure light bursts from its orifices and wounds. Undead and other creatures sensitive to sunlight have disadvantage on this saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 4d8 radiant damage and sheds bright light in a radius of 30 feet and dim light for an additional 30 feet. If the target is killed before the spell ends, any adjacent creatures suffer 1d8 radiant damage.
On a successful save, the target takes half damage and the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the primary and secondary damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.
