You touch your familiar and grant it increased combat prowess. Your familiar gains temporary hit points equal to your spellcasting ability modifier at the start of each of its turns and has advantage on saving throws. When you take the attack action, you can forgo one of your own attacks to allow your familiar to make one attack of its own. When the spell ends, the target loses any remaining temporary hit points from this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, your familiar gains a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls and its natural weapons are considered to be magical. When you use a slot of 6th level or higher, the bonus increases to +2. When you use a spell slot of 8th level or higher, the bonus increases to +3.
